Continue past the Park&Ride, the Blathwayte pub, the golf course and the racecourse all on the left until you reach a road on the left signposted ‘Avon Fire and Rescue’.
*Continue as far as the main gates where there is a small road to the right. Follow this past a wooden building to the left then bear right down a steep driveway; take a sharp right at the bottom (you will need to take the turn the turn wide and then back up a bit to do this) and park in the car park.
From the M4: Take the Bath exit (junction 18) and follow the A46 towards Bath to the first roundabout. Take the 3rd exit on to the A420 towards Bristol. After about 2/3 mile filter left and continue on that road for about 1 mile until it ends at a T junction. Follow the new road up a steep hill on to the top of Lansdown. After a short distance, there is a signpost ‘Avon Fire and Rescue’ on the right – continue as from * above.
Winter bookings: in icy conditions, you may need to park by the gate and walk 100 yards to the Oak House. Please consult the forecast and bring appropriate footwear. Wellies are perfect.
